Actress Pamela Anderson has gotten married in a surprise ceremony — again! The actress and model confirmed the news that she married her bodyguard, Dan Hayhurst, to the Daily Mail.
"I'm exactly where I need to be — in the arms of a man who truly loves me."
Pamela also shared that she and Dan got married on Christmas Eve "on the property I bought from my grandparents 25 years ago. This is where my parents were married and they are still together. I feel like I've come full circle."
This is Pamela's fifth husband in six marriages (she was married to Rick Salomon twice). Dan has been working for Pamela for two years, and the two fell in love during the health crisis. She also shared that she is leaving Facebook and Instagram.
In September 2020, a source close to Pamela told Page Six, "The pandemic has been wild for Pamela. She has a serious love interest. He's in his 40s. A real man, finally. He knows how to handle her. It's very cool to see. She's completely comfortable, and they’re never out of each other's sight."
There's not a lot of information out there about Dan or what kind of work he's done in the past. A source told People magazine in September 2020, "She's very happy. And they've been together for the entire pandemic. She's super happy and he's been helping her fix up her home on Vancouver Island."
Pamela's fifth marriage ended almost as quickly as it happened. In February 2020, she announced that she and film producer Jon Peters had decided to end their partnership after 12 days.
The Hollywood Reporter published a statement from Pamela at the time:
"I have been moved by the warm reception to Jon and my union. We would be very grateful for your support as we take some time apart to re-evaluate what we want from life and from one another. Life is a journey and love is a process. With that universal truth in mind, we have mutually decided to put off the formalization of our marriage certificate and put our faith in the process. Thank you for respecting our privacy."
In May 2020, Pamela said that she'd love to get married again.
She told the New York Times that fear played a role in why she and Jon considered marriage in the first place: "I'm a romantic. I think I'm an easy target. And I think people just live in fear. I don't know what all that was about, but I think fear really played a lot into it."
She explained that she and Jon never filed the paperwork solidifying their marriage:
"It was just kind of a little moment. A moment that came and went, but there was no wedding, there was no marriage, there was no anything. It's like it never even happened. That sounds bizarre. But that’s it."
She then said that she would love to get married one more time: "Just one more time. Just one more time, please, God. One more time only. Only!"
Pamela has also been married to Mötley Crüe rocker Tommy Lee, singer Kid Rock, and poker player Rick Salomon.
