This 3-Year-Old Wrote His Dead Dog A Letter And Got THIS In Response.

When their beloved beagle Moe passed away in April, Mary and her 3-year-old son Luke began a very special routine: Every night, the two would sit down at the kitchen table, pen and paper in hand, and write Moe a letter.

After addressing it — Moe Westbrook, Doggie Heaven, Cloud 1" — Mary would drop the letter in the mailbox. She'd then retrieve it every night after Luke had gone to sleep.

But one day, Mary forgot to return to the mailbox, and the next morning, the letter was gone. Convinced it would be thrown out or simply laughed at, Mary gave it no mind.

To her shock, the letter — unstamped and addressed to an unearthly location — had not only been picked up, but had been sent a response.

As Mary writes in her online essay for Distinction, she was beside herself with emotion when she read the written reply — and so was I. This has to be one of the kindest gestures I've ever seen…

Be sure to read the touching letter below, and please SHARE in memory of dear Moe!

Every night before bedtime, Mary and her son Luke sit down to write a very special letter — but theirs is no normal recipient. These letters are addressed to Moe Westbrook, their 13-year-old beagle who died two months ago.

So when Mary found this letter in the mail one day, she was shocked. The return address plainly read, "From Moe," and its contents brought this young mom to tears. Now, Mary is spreading the goodness and warmth this letter has brought her family —
