Kids toys nowadays are much more advanced then they were 20 and 30 years ago. For each children's movie and television show there are hundreds of toys to collect. Video games are more advanced, requiring new consoles every few years, extra controllers, and pricey game cartridges. Keeping your kids happy without breaking the bank has become a skill that many parents are constantly trying to perfect.
But with stores filled to the brim with the latest and greatest toys, some parents forget just how far an old toy and a little creativity can go.
We have seen resourceful parents before — like the auto mechanic daddy who keeps his daughter entertained with "boys' toys" working on real cars, and the magician father who teaches his tot how to do magic during play time.
The gearhead father in this video knows that getting toys to work a little faster is usually a good way to makes things more exciting, so he goes to work on his daughter's pink toy Mini Cooper.
After switching out a few parts and connecting it to a remote control, they take it out for a spin. While he definitely increases the speed, the steering doesn't quite work the same.
The result is a very fast (and extremely hilarious) bumper car that keeps the kids laughing for hours, and will have you in tears from laughing just as hard!
