Most of us are used to going to the grocery store and seeing fruit prepared a bunch of different ways: whole, dried, canned, sliced, and even juiced. But if you go to another country, you might find that your favorite produce is eaten a bit differently.
Mangoes are some of the hardest fruits to figure out how to peel and cut (unless you watch this super easy way to get it done in about ten seconds), and it's a shame, because they're some of the tastiest foods out there. But this guy knows how to get it done fast…and better yet, he makes it look super cool at the end! I wish the street vendors around me sold these instead of hot dogs.
Watching this talented, hardworking man prepare this mango reminds me a lot of how this guy cut up a pineapple in just seventy seconds. And best of all, the way he cuts it isn't just pretty; it's also practical! Now you don't have to get your fingers sticky and slimy while eating this juicy fruit. All you need is some chile and lime, and you're going to have a perfect tropical treat without all the mess.
If you're in a rush and want to get to the cool part right away, skip to :46. But I think it's even cooler to watch this process from beginning to end. This is how I'm cutting my mangoes from now on…if I can, that is.
Isn't this mango-cutting technique cool?! SHARE this video with your friends and help inspire them to try something from a street vendor the next time they travel abroad!
