There is something about dangerous animals — lions, bears, sharks — that just seem to totally fascinate people. The size of these animals alone is pretty scary, but even so, they are still incredibly beautiful and even majestic. Something about them makes you want to get close, and see them in person…but then your brain usually kicks back on and tells you that a keeping a fair amount of distance would be a better idea.
Still, there are people — professionals — that take on amazing jobs that require them to interact with these dangerous, but amazing creatures.
You may think you could handle being up close and personal with some of your favorite animals, but after watching this video you are likely to have a change of heart.
Like Kevin Richardson, the self proclaimed "Lion Whisperer", the diver in this video seems to be absolutely fearless. While it would take some major guts to get in a protected cage and see massive sharks swimming around you even while you have the safety of steel bars between you and their razor sharp teeth, it takes a whole other level of bravery to climb out of the cage to give a shark like this one a friendly high-five.
This big and seemingly calm great white is the largest to have ever been spotted in Guadalupe Islands, and he may haunt your dreams for the next few weeks. Unless of course you have a high-five to cross off your bucket list!
