Despite the fact that adopting a shelter pet can change your life, there are still lots of people out there who are hesitant to bring home a pet whose history they don't know. But the Homeward Bound Pet Shelter in Decatur, IL is looking to change that. They set up a special day for yoga enthusiasts all over the area to come practice their craft…but there was a catch. The yoga room was filled with adorable kitties that needed loving homes! I don't know about you, but to me, this looks like the greatest way to do yoga ever!
Shelters have been finding lots of creative ways to spread the word about their homeless pets. This one came up with the great idea to take their animals to a city park and show office workers how they could be rescued by one of these loving animals. And just wait until you see the adorable "Uptown Funk" parody that one shelter did to promote their fluffy pets! It's so great to see that these creative campaigns are working. More animals than ever are finding homes and families to love them for as long as they live!
Best of all, this event raised over $500 for the HBPS, all of which will go to help taking care of all the pets that live in the shelter. What a great way to bring awareness to and raise funds for all the wonderful kitties that are waiting in shelters for their forever homes!
