Anna Duggar Announces She’s Pregnant With 7th Child And Fans Ask: ‘Can You Afford It?’

Josh and Anna Duggar have shared some news that they're very excited about: They're expecting their seventh child together. The pair shared the news in a quick video that was captioned, "We are overjoyed to announce baby seven is on the way and we can't wait to hold her in our arms this fall."

The baby will join Mackynzie, Michael, Marcus, Meredith, Mason, and Maryella.

While Josh and Anna are excited about the impending arrival of their newest family member, some of the couple's fans were a little appalled. One commenter asked, "How do you afford all those kids? Does Josh even work?"

Anna Duggar was quick to fire back a reply to that person. She wrote, "Yes, my husband is a diligent worker and provides well for our family."

However, it's not clear exactly what Josh Duggar's job is. A simple Google search offers confusing results: activist, entrepreneur, and TV personality.

Additional research is fairly fruitless; nothing concrete has been mentioned about what kind of work Josh does and/or if the Duggar family patriarch is still supporting Josh and his family. Josh, Anna, and their kids are no longer on TV, and if Josh has a job at all, it's probably working for his dad.

Many might remember the reason Josh was removed from the family's show: He molested four of his sisters and one of the family's babysitters over a period of several years. Both of Josh's parents knew about the abuse, and TLC ultimately canceled 19 Kids and Counting after the reports were substantiated.

Josh also admitted that he had cheated on his wife, Anna. In 2015, he released a statement addressing the situation:

"I have been the biggest hypocrite ever. While espousing faith and family values, I have secretly over the last several years been viewing pornography on the internet and this became a secret addiction and I became unfaithful to my wife."

He added, "I am so ashamed of the double life that I have been living and am grieved for the hurt, pain and disgrace my sin has caused my wife and family, and most of all Jesus and all those who profess faith in Him."

Jinger Duggar Vuolo recently opened up about what life was like after the news Josh had molested his sisters came out. She told Us Weekly, "Walking through that that season, it was one of the hardest times of our lives."

Jinger also said the experience helped her see who her real friends were and are: "It's in those times where it’s not popular to be your friend, seeing how they responded really showed us the love of Christ through them and through their friendships."

However, Jinger said the Duggar family grew closer as a result: "Our family was way closer because of that, and in spite of that, I guess you'd say. I will never forget how I felt in that moment. And I think even everything that happens in our lives — because we're in the public eye — it makes it more challenging because then it's not just dealing with these things inwardly, but you have to give an answer to the world. That makes it a much tougher thing to walk through."
