There's been a lot of speculation around when Lilibet Diana will meet her UK relatives. Many have thought that the Sussexes might spend the holidays with the Queen at Balmoral.
Lilibet's christening is another event royal fans have been keeping an eye out for. Since there's been no word of an event in the works stateside, many suspected that Lilibet might get christened whenever Harry and Meghan bring her to the UK. Their son, Archie Harrison, was christened in England prior to the couple's big move to the States.
A royal reporter is suggesting that may not be the case, however. In fact, NBC royal correspondent Neil Sean claims that Prince William won't allow for the event to take place in the UK.
Royal fans are eager to meet Prince Harry and Meghan Markle's 4-month-old daughter, Lilibet Diana. There have been no photos of the second child of the Duke and Duchess of Sussex since her birth in June.
Royal fans are also curious when Lilibet will first meet her UK family. Many have suspected that the family might travel across the pond for the holidays, during which time they might christen Lilibet in the UK, as big brother Archie was prior to the Sussex's stateside move.
That's unlikely to be the case, according to NBC royal correspondent Neil Sean, however. According to Express, Sean has claimed that Prince William won't allow the little girl to be baptized in the UK.
"One of the bigger problems that Meghan really encountered of later is that she wanted her daughter, Lilibet Diana, to be christened in the place she was married alongside her husband Prince Harry. And then the christening of her firstborn, Archie," he said.
"But that came to a grinding halt," he continued.
"Both Harry and Meghan were very keen to make that return and make sure that christening happened, particularly in front of Her Majesty The Queen. Some people may say they're just capitalising on their royal connection and why not? It's how they make money now."
"But moving forward there was one person who basically decided there wasn't an appetite for this and the person that seemingly is, so far, not willing to kiss and make up with his younger brother," Sean continued.
"According to a very good source, Prince William was the one who basically said 'no, we don't think this is going to work,' it wasn't a particularly good idea."
It's important to note these reports are in contrast with ones in recent months that have claimed Lilibet's birth has helped heal the divisions in the family. Only time will tell which side of the story is true, with eyes around the world watching.
