Tori Spelling and Dean McDermott got married all the way back in 2006. Despite the longevity, it's always been rocky.
But now the situation is fully at its breaking point, with Tori admitting in an interview on SiriusXM's Jeff Lewis Live that the two aren't even sleeping together anymore.
"You know what, right now my kids and dogs sleep in my bed," she admitted. Tori and Dean share five children together: Liam, 14; Stella, 13; Hattie, 9; Finn, 8; and Beau, 4.
Dean also leaves for months at a time, putting even more of a strain on their overall relationship.
"Since he left, he was gone for six months filming in another country, they all stayed with me," she noted. "So I currently still have four in the bedroom with me who have yet to go back to their rooms." When asked where Dean sleeps, she didn't hide the fact that it wasn't with her.
"He's in a room," she said. While that interview took place in June, things haven't seemed to get better. An insider spilled to Us Weekly that these days, Tori "wants a divorce, but she feels trapped right now." Divorce is never simple and can get much harder with children in the mix — just ask Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie.
There were also recent rumors of a fight that caused Dean to vanish for a few days. Insiders tell the publication that when he did return, he started arguing about how he'd sue her for alimony and child support. The good news is that the pair do have a prenup in place, which means a lot of Tori's money is secure.
But supposedly Tori learned that she could still be sued for child support. "She went ballistic," the source said. It was also revealed that Tori and Dean "constantly fight and break up," which likely can't be good for the kids to see.
Those close to Tori have said she's been miserable in the relationship but is trying to stay strong for the sake of the kids. However, that might backfire. In an approach like that, her children may feel like they're to blame for her unhappiness. The source also states that her kids "have no idea what's going on."
But kids can often pick up on things fairly easily. Plus, based on the notoriety of their parents, it's made plenty of headlines. So, why else hasn't Tori bit the bullet and left? Supposedly, money is a huge issue in their household.
Tori appears to have a lot of endorsement deals that she promotes through Instagram. She also just came out with a new show, which should help. But according to Us Weekly, "money is an issue and it's always been an issue."
Knowing it'll be expensive to part has reportedly left Tori feeling "trapped." But it seems as if both of them have tried what they could to make things work. When asked about why his wife wasn't wearing her wedding band, Dean thought the question was a bit strange. And he's not completely wrong.
"It's just weird that people need to know," he said on a podcast, per the publication. "Why do you need to know that? How is that going to affect your day?" He also stated that he accidentally lost his ring while playing golf.
When he realized his mistake, he knew that people would try to call him out. "I lost my utility ring and then somebody saw that. 'He doesn't have his ring.' So, now, everybody's in a titter, so I'm like, 'Forget it, I'm not going to replace it,'" he explained. "'Just let them think it.'"
No matter what, hopefully Tori and Dean will make peace and figure out the best solution for the two of them. Nobody deserves to be in an unhappy marriage, and surely their kids want them to both be their strongest selves.
