Demi Moore may have a new man in her life, right when she needs support the most.
This week, Demi's blended family revealed that her ex-husband and father of her three daughters, Bruce Willis, has been diagnosed with aphasia. "This is a really challenging time for our family and we are so appreciative of your continued love, compassion and support," the family's statement read. "We are moving through this as a strong family unit, and wanted to bring his fans in because we know how much he means to you, as you do to him."
The day following the announcement, Demi's reps quietly confirmed to People that Demi has started dating Swiss chef/NYC restaurateur Daniel Humm. The two were first spotted together earlier this month, joined by friends for Paris Fashion Week.
Daniel Humm may be a new name to you, but in foodie circles, he's a pretty big deal. His upscale Manhattan restaurant, Eleven Madison Park, is a certified NYC hot spot. He's also the mind behind the NoMad restaurant at the NoMad hotels in New York and LA, as well as the former Davies and Brook at Claridge's in London.
Daniel is also an author, having penned three cookbooks: I Love New York: Ingredients and Recipes, The NoMad Cookbook, and Eleven Madison Park: The Next Chapter Revised and Unlimited Cookbook. The native Swiss chef earned his first Michelin star at the age of 24, so he certainly knows what he's talking about. He's also passionate about giving back, having cofounded Rethink Food — a nonprofit committed to creating a more equitable, sustainable food system — in 2017.
Demi and Daniel are still in the early stages of things, but they're enjoying each other's company. The 59-year-old actress has reportedly traveled quite a bit to spend time with the 45-year-old chef.
"They are really hot and heavy at the moment," a source told Page Six.
"Daniel works long, hard hours at his restaurant Eleven Madison Park, but they still often take time to have Demi join him for romantic dinners there."
Demi has allegedly been single for nearly seven years. Her first marriage was to musician Freddy Moore, 71, from 1980 to 1985. She was then married to Bruce Willis from 1987 to 2000. Her third marriage was to Ashton Kutcher, from 2005 to 2013.
Daniel also has an interesting dating history of his own. His last relationship was with Steve Jobs' widow, Laurene Powell Jobs. He was married to Geneen Wright, with whom he shares daughters Vivienne Humm and Colette Humm. He also has an adult daughter, Justine Humm.
