The Cambridge kids are growing up fast!
Princess Charlotte, the second of Prince William and Kate Middleton's three children, turns 7 on May 2. It seems like just yesterday that she was sweetly toddling about and waving and making faces at cameras. Now Charlotte is looking quite grown up.
As is royal tradition, new photos of Charlotte were released. The Cambridges have added their own little mark to this tradition, with Kate taking those official photos herself. Kate is known to have a passion for photography in her downtime, and one of her favorite ways to showcase that talent is by taking photos of her family. Charlotte's photos this year are extra special because they give us a look at the family's dear new dog, Orla.
William and Kate released three photos of Charlotte for her 7th birthday. In one, she is squatting down in a field of pretty flowers, smiling brightly with her hairstyle long and straight. She's wearing a purple sweater with a polka-dot shirt peeking out, paired with dark pants.
The second photo showcases the little princess's playful side. She's laughing with one arm slung around the family dog, a black cocker spaniel named Orla.
In the third photo, Charlotte is twirling a flower between her fingers as she smiles. Like the other two photos, you can tell that Charlotte is definitely growing up beautifully into a bigger kid.
The past year has been pretty interesting for Charlotte. She's started attending more royal functions alongside her parents and older brother, Prince George.
Charlotte is also having a blast in her free time. She's reportedly taken up horseback riding and ballet. She also loves "getting her hands messy" experimenting in the kitchen with her mom and siblings.
The Cambridges celebrated Charlotte's birthday quietly alongside another big occasion. William and Kate celebrated 11 years of marriage on April 29.
