Actress Michelle Williams is pregnant!
The mom of two and Oscar nominee just revealed to Variety that she's expecting once again. This will be Michelle's second child with her husband, theater director Thomas Kail. They welcomed their son, Hart, back in 2020. Michelle is also mom to 16-year-old Matilda, whose father is the late actor Heath Ledger.
Michelle expressed absolute joy at her family expanding.
"It's totally joyous," she told the outlet. "As the years go on, you sort of wonder what they might hold for you or not hold for you. It's exciting to discover that something you want again and again, is available one more time. That good fortune is not lost on me or my family."
She also opened up about what it was like to have a baby in the middle of the health crisis in 2020. "It was a reminder that life goes on," she declared. "The world we brought a baby into is not the world we thought we were bringing a baby into, but the baby is ignorant of that. He experiences the unmitigated joy of discovery and the happiness of a loving home."
"There's nothing that makes you committed to a better world than raising a great kid. It's the ultimate creative act," she continued. "The most ecstatic moments of life and art are the transcendent ones. Having children is like that. You combine your DNA with someone else to create a new life."
Michelle is clearly in a really grateful place in her life. She also revealed that she's going to take some time off work during her pregnancy, saying, "I wondered if I could work while I was pregnant, but I'm too tired."
