A lot of people remember where they were on the morning of September 11, 2001. Some people were actually tuning in to TV already, watching then-President George W. Bush as he prepared to read to a group of second graders in Sarasota, Florida.
Bush was sitting in on a reading lesson taught by Ms. Sandra Daniels at Booker Elementary School when news of the attacks came in. Now the then-second graders are all grown up and recalling what it was like to be in the classroom that day.
Ms. Daniels told Inside Edition about being confused during the moment former Chief of Staff Andy Card leaned over to tell President Bush about the attacks.
"I’m thinking, ‘What happened?’" she said. "I’m thinking, ‘Did something happen with Mrs. Bush? Did something to the children?’ I would have never imagined what happened, actually happened."
Today talked with Ms. Daniels and Dynasty Brown, a student in the classroom that day. The two explained to Today what stood out the most that day, and they talked about how those students are doing today. You can find out by watching the video.
