Jamie Lynn Spears Sobs About Abusive Childhood And Broken Relationship With Britney

Jamie Lynn Spears isn't holding back about her relationship with sister Britney Spears, no matter how the pop star feels about it.

Jamie Lynn appeared on the Call Her Daddy podcast, where she talked about some of her childhood experiences that she detailed in her memoir, Things I Should Have Said. Jamie Lynn explains she's been encouraged and empowered to speak out on her experiences in the middle of her family's chaos because so much of her life was lost to furthering their narrative.

In the book, Jamie Lynn details her father's alcohol abuse, how it broke down her mother, and even an incident where mom Lynne Spears beat her daughter with a purse.

"It doesn't matter who your sister is or who your family member is or whatever your relationship is with, if something has caused you pain or this is your experience, nothing should diminish your experience," Jamie Lynn said.

Unimpressed by this outpouring of truth is Britney, who has repeatedly begged her family to leave her alone and stop trying to profit from her fame and her own experiences.

"In life a lot of people say 'DO I MATTER ????'" Britney wrote directly at her sister in an Instagram caption. "… try eating alone for 4 months morning ☀️ … noon … and night Jamie Lynn."

"I asked myself every day 'DOES ANYBODY CARE ??? WTF ??? DO I MATTER ???' I would honestly be very interested to see your pretty face in the setting I was forced to be in and asking yourself 'DO I MATTER ???' I didn't get to cry … I had to be strong … TOO STRONG !!! So yes … YOU DO MATTER and don't you ever think for one [expletive] second you don't."

With no end in sight, it's unclear what the future holds for the Spears sisters. It seems likely the sisters' feud will continue playing out publicly as both try to find their voices in a world that has slammed them as individuals and as a family.
