Queen Elizabeth II was known for a variety of different things: her grace under pressure, her extremely long reign, her family, and her classiness.
But one of the things that was most defining about Queen Elizabeth II, especially as she aged, was her sense of fashion.
The Queen was almost always seen wearing a skirt suit or a perfectly paired dress/cardigan combo. She didn't shy away from bright colors, and her hats were truly one-of-a-kind.
Although her makeup was typically subtle, she wasn't afraid to rock a bright lip once in a while.
Because her style didn't change in years, the Queen had some very particular beauty routines — and they definitely worked for her!
The Queen was never seen without her pearl earrings, and there's something else she never went without: her nail polish!
There's only one shade of nail polish she wore for almost two decades: Essie's light pink Ballet Slippers.

Queen Elizabeth II was in the spotlight ever since she was a child.
She took the throne after her father passed away in 1952. After that, she was under even more public scrutiny.
Despite her public profile, Queen Elizabeth always maintained her poise and grace.
She also honed her style over the years: although she wore a lot of form-fitting dresses when she was younger, she's switched to structured jackets and colorful dresses as she got older.
In addition to her colorful jackets and skirt suits, the Queen always woregorgeous hats that matched her outfits.
She also never went out without a pair of heels on.
But another thing she never went without? Her nail polish.
Since 1989, Queen Elizabeth wore the same exact shade of nail polish: Essie's Ballet Slippers.
The color, which is a stunning shade of light pink, is the only color the Queen wore on her fingers.
Essie's website explains that in 1989, the Queen's hairdresser sent a letter to Essie requesting another bottle of Ballet Slippers, since it was the only color Her Majesty would wear.
The Queen, who always tried to keep her makeup subtle, wanted to wear a color that would keep her fingers painted without being too noticeable.
According to Insider, the soft color will never clash with any of her bright outfits — and it's light enough to stay hidden under her white gloves.
The sophisticated color is a favorite of beauty bloggers — and why wouldn't it be?
It's a beautiful shade, and it's approved by the Queen herself!
Do you love this color as much as Queen Elizabeth? Do you think you could wear only this color for almost 20 years?
