When you find “the one,” it’s always such a satisfying moment in your life. But when you invite them into your life, you are also inviting their family. And when a person finds the man of their dreams, there is always a mother two steps behind him.
If you get lucky, you could be blessed with an easygoing, easy to get along with mother-in-law. Some people, unfortunately, find themselves dealing with MILs who can’t seem to let their little boys go, and feel that no person is good enough for their sons.
A woman who goes by Monica has had a monster-in-law experience and shares with viewers about the time her mother-in-law ruined her wedding by wearing a wedding dress to the nuptials.
She starts the video off by telling the viewers her name and the main topic of her video, which is her mother-in-law.
Monica goes into detail about the events of the day, starting at 5 a.m., her girls and herself were getting ready. Makeup was done, hair was curled, and dresses were put on. Monica was happy, excited, and ready to marry her man, she was on cloud nine.
Monica then jumps to the moment in her story where she is about to walk down the aisle. She’s nervous but excited, and the curtains open, allowing everyone, including her husband, to see how stunning she looks
The couple gets through the ceremony, everything ran smoothly and then Monica jumps to the family portraits. Her mother-in-law comes over for a picture, surprising Monica with her outfit, as this was the first time she saw her mother-in-law that day.
Monica details the emotions that flooded her at that moment and how her new husband was just as shocked, not knowing what exactly was happening. At the reception, Monica is then bombarded not with congratulations, but with comments and questions about her mother-in-law's dress.
If I were in Monica's shoes, I’m not sure I would have handled the situation as well as she did.
