Woman Is Walking 3,200 Miles Across America To Reconnect With Herself

We all get caught up in the hustle and bustle from time to time. Between work and family obligations, sometimes it feels like life is nothing but pressure.

One woman from Maine decided to take a nice long break from it all and go have a walk. But much like Forrest Gump, Margaret Carrie just kept walking.

She decided to travel across the entire country on foot.

Margeret told CBS Boston about her travels. She says that she's always loved long-distance walking. She couldn't stop thinking about walking across the country, so finally, she decided to take a break from work and life in general and just do it.

She's not doing it for any big cause. She says while she knows it "sounds hokey" she simply wants to reconnect with herself and with nature.

She's averaging about 15 miles a day and documenting her travels on her Instagram page @riskymamatreks.
