Now this is a great coach!
Nine-year-old gymnast Cherrish Remy participated in a competition in Tennessee in 2020.
In the clip below, Cherrish runs toward the vault at full speed and launches herself off the springboard … but she misses her mark and awkwardly falters in midair.
Cherrish's mother, Justine, is standing on the sidelines, and in that split second, she begins to panic and fear the worst. You can hear her audibly gasp when Cherrish veers off the vault.
But then, seemingly out of nowhere, Cherrish's coach, Chad Buczek, uses his eagle-eyed, quick-thinking reflexes to rescue her — saving this very lucky little girl from a potentially disastrous fall.
Chad is being called a hero. And Justine also says this was "definitely not the first time he's saved her."
