Valerie Bertinelli's divorce from longtime husband Tom Vitale has been finalized. The actress and Food Network star is not crying into her wine, though. She's celebrating!
Valerie opened up about her divorce in a video on Instagram. While on the way to the airport to see son Wolfgang Van Halen, the 62-year-old got a call from her lawyer updating her on the divorce proceedings.
She was so happy and relieved she wanted to share the news with her followers.
"My lawyer just called. The papers are all signed. They're about to be filed," she says in the video.
She continues, "On 11/22/22, I am officially [expletive] divorced. Happily divorced. Finally. It's finally over."
Clearly, going through the divorce has been stressful, and Valerie definitely did not mince words about being excited that it's finally over. She even captioned the video, "Second best day of my life."
While it once seemed like Tom and Valerie were incredibly happy together, clearly that happiness didn't last. The actress filed for divorce back in May, six months after filing for legal separation.
It seemed like Valerie couldn't move on quickly enough. In September, she announced that she sold both her ring and the Jimmy Choo shoes she wore when she and Tom got married.
"Dropped a few things off with @therealreal," she captioned a series of photos.
The 62-year-old is definitely making moves. Valerie also sold the Hollywood Hills home where she lived with Tom.
Hopefully, Valerie can move on to happier times now that her divorce has been finalized, just in time for the holidays.
