5-Year-Old Says ‘She’s Not My Sister’ When He Meets Brand-New Baby Sister & He’s Right

This video story from Wonderbot showcases how oftentimes children’s gut instincts are spot on and shouldn’t be diminished, because they can pick up on things that adults can sometimes miss.

Mary and Nathan were a happily married couple living their dream in Washington, DC. The two were excited about finally becoming a family of four and bringing a little sister home to their son, Tony.

Tony had always been a special child who showed signs of extreme intelligence from an early age. The parents even considered putting him in special classes in order to properly engage and educate his ever-expanding mind.

When Mary and Nathan told their almost 5-year-old that they were pregnant with another baby, little Tony instantly shined to the idea of having a younger sibling. He was constantly rubbing his mom’s belly and even trying to protect her from harm’s way.

When Mary went into labor, they asked her mother to stay with Tony while the couple went to the hospital for the birth. Mary had a difficult labor and eventually had to receive an emergency C-section while under sedation. Nathan actually ended up fainting while witnessing the procedure due to a blood phobia.

A few hours later, the couple was able to meet their daughter, Marissa. As Mary nursed Marissa in her arms, Nathan lovingly watched on.

“I can’t wait for Tony to meet her. He’s going to be the best big brother in the world! Although, I hope he’s not too protective,” Nathan wished out loud.

In a few days, the couple was released from the hospital and made their way home to Tony and Mary’s mother. When they took Marissa out of the car, they asked Tony to come and meet his baby sister.

As Tony approached, he frowned when he laid his eyes on the baby and slowly muttered words that no one saw coming: “She’s not my sister.”
