Sharon Ransom of Woodstock, Canada, bonded with her boyfriend, Eric, over their shared love of music.
Sharon began drumming when she was in elementary school and went on to study percussion in college. Today, she's a drum teacher who, alongside Eric, runs a music school and teaches kids how to drum just like her.
When it came time to plan their wedding in August 2019, it was only fitting that live music would be a big part of their celebration.
Together, Sharon and Eric wrote an original song to perform at their reception for their family and friends. Eric was on the guitar and Sharon was on the drums — and she played an epic drum solo that dazzled everyone in the room.
She even had her wedding dress specially altered so that the floor-length gown would turn into a high-low dress for the performance.
The video clip shown here, filmed at Sharon and Eric's wedding, made it to a Los Angeles-based producer. According to the
London Free Press, just six months after their big day, Sharon was flown to California to play drums in a commercial for International Women’s Day.
