We're finding out more about Abby Coleman, the wife of Matthew Coleman, who admitted to murdering his two children in August 2021.
Coleman abruptly took his kids — Kaleo, 2, and Roxy, 10 months — from their Santa Barbara home and then reportedly murdered them with a fishing spear on a farm in Mexico.
Abby told police at the time that she didn't believe her kids were in danger. She just wanted to find out where he had taken them. We've since learned more about how little she knew about her husband's beliefs, which allegedly caused him to kill his kids.
After his arrest, Coleman told police about his deep QAnon conspiracy theory beliefs. He even said he believed his children were turning into monsters and that they had "serpent DNA." He thought that killing them would somehow save the world.
But Abby wasn't aware of those dangerous beliefs at all. "She didn't see this coming," a family friend revealed to People. "No one did. But for her, she's starting to question everything she ever knew about her husband. It's devastating."
The friend continued, "Abby had no clue whatsoever. So now she's wondering what she could have done to stop it. Those questions are going to haunt her."
