Joseph Andrew Bigler, 96, and Margaret Louise Baldwin Bigler, 97, got married in 1948. After seven decades of wedded bliss, the couple were forced to live separately during the pandemic.
While Margaret moved into long-term care, Joseph stayed home to live on his own. Margaret spent nearly a year feeling like she was missing a piece of her heart.
Joe, on the other hand, said the year spent apart was "hell," but he took solace in knowing his wife was getting the care she needed.
In the tear-jerking video clip, Joseph is finally able to move into the same home care as Margaret so they can be together again.
As soon as Margaret wheels herself into the room and sees Joseph sitting there, the tears start flowing. It's clear these two are just as in love as ever.
Margaret says this was one of the best days of her life.
