The crime that was committed is so horrific that a judge gave a sentence that was never given before in Australian history. Katherine Knight was born in 1955 into a highly dysfunctional and abusive family. Both of her parents were alcoholics, and her older siblings were very cruel to her. The people throughout town did not help her situation at all by also mistreating her just because they didn’t like her family.
Katherine and her family lived in a very small town in New South Wales, Australia, where everyone knew everything and everybody. Even though Katherine was living in a nightmare, she continuously tried to focus on nothing but the future, attempting to manifest nothing but good vibes for herself and her future family.
Unfortunately, once Katherine got older and stepped out into the dating world, her abusive past influenced how she chose her partners and how she acted in the relationships. When Katherine was 40 and getting a little desperate for a man in her life, she met a man named John Price.
John seemed different from the other men Katherine dated. He was empathetic toward her past, was caring, and wanted to help Katherine thrive in life. Katherine and John’s relationship escalated quickly, and she moved in with him and his three daughters.
Their relationship started to slowly crumble when Katherine mentioned wanting to get married, but John wasn’t sure if he ever wanted to get married again. A fight broke out between the couple, leading to their breakup and to an unimaginable crime.
