Actor Keke Palmer and boyfriend Darius Jackson are in for some sleepless nights ahead. They are now officially parents. Keke took to Instagram to announce the birth of their son — whom they named Leodis Andrellton, Leo for short — on Monday, February 27, 2023. The couple are over the moon with their new bundle of joy.
Keke wrote a sweet note to Leo on Instagram, chronicling his first weekend on Earth with photos and giving him some of his history. “Hey Son!!!! 1. Only 48hrs of being parents! 2. Darius always made me playlists when we first started dating, 'Someone' by El Debarge was a favorite. We became each other’s someone and made a someone, look at God! ,” she mused.
Keke also gave some insight into the inspiration behind his name: “Born during Black History Month, with a name to match ! LEODIS ANDRELLTON JACKSON, welcome to the world baby Leo.”
Keke and Darius are a low-key couple who kept their relationship under wraps for as long as possible. Darius works in fitness and is a former college athlete. They followed a similar pattern with Keke’s pregnancy. She ended up announcing it in December of 2022 when she was hosting Saturday Night Live.
"There's some rumors going around, people have been in my comments saying, 'Keke's having a baby, Keke's pregnant,' and I wanna set the record straight — I am!" Keke exclaimed on SNL, revealing to the world her baby bump.
