It is not easy being a public figure and having fans who feel entitled to every detail of your personal life. This is especially true when you are going through a crisis such as a health scare. This may be why Jamie Foxx’s daughter Corinne Foxx got ahead of things and made an announcement the day after her father suffered a medical episode.
On April 11, 2023, Jamie Foxx experienced “a medical complication.” Corinne made her statement about it the following day but did not divulge the exact nature of his health issues. She asked for privacy at the time. Another source close to the situation confirmed that Jamie is still in the hospital undergoing tests.
"They are running tests and still trying to figure out what exactly happened," the source confirmed to People magazine. Jamie is in Georgia filming his latest project, the Netflix movie Back in Action, with costars Cameron Diaz and Glenn Close. The source also confirmed that this incident did not occur on set, nor did he arrive at the hospital in an ambulance. Jamie’s health is improving, even if his medical team does not have all the answers yet.
"We wanted to share that my father, Jamie Foxx, experienced a medical complication yesterday," Corinne’s statement began. "Luckily, due to quick action and great care, he is already on his way to recovery. We know how beloved he is and appreciate your prayers. The family asks for privacy during this time."
