A Florida woman is facing two felony charges after a horrific incident that took place on May 26. Alicia Moore, 24, left her kids in the car while she went inside the Oviedo Mall. While inside, the car caught fire. Police say their investigation showed Moore had been shoplifting in the mall.
The children, whose ages are unknown, luckily survived the fire. One of the children did have first-degree burns.
Police say Moore was shoplifting with an unknown male. According to the arrest report, she dropped the merchandise that she had and fled the store when she realized that her car was engulfed in flames.

With help from bystanders, the children were able to make it out the car. They were treated at a nearby hospital.
Moore was arrested on an outstanding warrant that was unrelated to the incident. She was charged with arson and aggravated child neglect.
What caused the fire in the first place is still unknown. However, according to the arrest report, Moore is responsible for the injuries to her children because the fire occurred during the time that she was in the mall committing a felony.
According to NBC News, the arrest report stated that a loss prevention officer observed Moore and an unidentified male shoplifting in a Dillard's department store. They were watched by security for one hour.
Moore entered a not-guilty plea in court. Her bond was set at $20,000 and her arraignment is scheduled for June 27.
People in the comments section of the NBC News YouTube video were furious.
"This entire situation is horrific," one person stated. "Security watched for one hour. The children say for one hour. The tragedy is that those children will be returned to her. Our society is shameful."
