Cats seem to get into a lot of trouble. For example, you rarely hear about a firefighter rescuing a dog from a tall tree. Cats, on the other hand, are far more daring. While they're often successful, they still do depend on humans to help them out every now and then.
Take this one cat who had to be cut out from behind a wall. The residents kept hearing constant meowing, until they realized where it was coming from — behind a wall. It's unclear as to how the little kitten got stuck back there, but a rescuer was quick to make things right — and Inside Edition has the adorable rescue on video.
The video also includes another rescue of a bigger cat who was caught in rubble. This is a scary situation for any feline, but the cat seemed more than grateful to have been recovered by a kind hero. If you're the type of person who doesn't think that cats care for humans, just watch this video. That look is a look of gratitude.
Cat rescues happen often, but they're not always caught on video. But do you ever wonder why cats get into predicaments like this? According to The Mercury News, cats are excellent at climbing, but awful when it comes to getting down. "Cats sometimes get stuck in trees because they are built for climbing up, but not so much for climbing down," the outlet writes. "Their retractable claws are curved and their hind legs are stronger than their front, which makes them agile climbers going up, but that same physiology makes it difficult to maneuver."
At the very least, cats have an adventurous spirit — and that's truly a wonderful quality in any animal. Watch the video to see these two rescues in action.
