Celebrity culture is much like a small town. Everyone is in everyone else’s business. It is nice to see celebs play nice and get along with each other.
Brittany Furlan is currently married to Tommy Lee, who is the drummer for the band Mötley Crüe. Like many musicians, Tommy has a party boy past, but Brittany takes this all in stride. She recently opened up to People magazine about how close she is to Tommy’s ex-wife Heather Locklear. Both women respect each other and are close despite the potential for awkwardness.
Brittany cannot say enough good things about Heather. "Heather and I are very close. She's awesome, I love her," she gushed.
"I think she's the most kind, down-to-earth person. We met through Tommy, obviously, and became close. She's just very cool, very nice, just supportive and just a cool chick all around," she went on to say.

Brittany and Tommy first met through Instagram. Tommy followed her and slid into her DMs. The public first got wind of their romance in 2017 when they were spotted outside a sushi restaurant getting frisky. The couple got married in February 2019.
Tommy and Heather were married from 1986 to 1993. They are still friends to this day. The media often focuses on Tommy’s other ex-wife, Pamela Anderson. The former couple share two sons and made a now infamous leaked sex tape. Brittany believes Heather is actually "the one that got away" for Tommy.
"There's a lot that goes on that I don’t share publicly that kept that from happening, [but] she's very, very nice, so I've managed to have a relationship with her and I am so grateful for that," Brittany explained. "She tells me funny stories. Everyone glorifies his relationship with Pam, but he was married to Heather for [nearly] eight years!"
"She was the love of his life. I see it, because she's just a fun, sweet, caring, awesome person," Brittany said. "Tommy even says he messed up in that relationship. He cheated on her. To this day, that's why they're still really good friends."
Brittany seems very accepting of Tommy’s past. She even makes fun of him for messing things up with Heather. "I yell at my husband, I'm like, 'I can't believe you cheated on her. She’s so cool,'" she said.
Brittany is thankful for all of her husband’s past, including the not-so-good parts. “That was a different time. He was 25 years old, 26 years old. Not to make excuses, but he's a very different man now from all those years ago. You live and you learn,” she concluded.
For her part, Heather moved on romantically as well and married Bon Jovi guitarist Richie Sambora. They share a daughter, Ava, who is now 25 years old. They divorced in 2007.
