Mom Is In Wheelchair And Dying From ALS But Always Dreamed Of One Dance At Son’s Wedding

In case you’re unaware, ALS (amyotrophic lateral sclerosis) is a debilitating and rare neurological disorder impacting motor neurons. The disease eventually affect the muscles needed for speaking, walking, moving, and breathing.

This video posted by Newsnercom shares the incredibly moving story and footage of a determined son and his mother living with ALS as they take the dance floor together at his wedding to share in a tender moment.

Terri is living with ALS, and with her health continually failing, she can no longer walk and lives most of her days in a motorized wheelchair.

Terri had always dreamed of being able to see her son get married one day and even share a dance with him in front of all their loved ones. Fortunately, her son, Scooter, was able to make that dream a reality.

As you can see in the footage, on Scooter’s wedding day, Terri is dressed up in a beautiful black formal gown for the occasion. With the help of another family member, Scooter is able to get Terri into a standing position and hold her very tightly in his arms so that they can share in the traditional mother-son dance.

This isn’t an easy feat for Scooter, though, as he can’t help but become emotional, embracing his mother and sharing in this intimate moment as they very gently sway to the music.
