A water ride at a park on the Tennessee-Georgia border is now under investigation after a 5-year-old child fell off the slide and had to be taken to the hospital. The incident happened at Lake Winnepesaukah amusement park. The boy took a double tube on the water slide, but flew off the slide and fell 15 to 20 feet.
The boy was injured and taken to the Children's Hospital at Erlanger in Chattanooga, Tennessee.
One person at the amusement park told WZTV that the boy "flew out" of the water slide.
Another person said employees blew whistles.
"I don't think I'll ever forget it," the witness said. "I thought 'Is he alive?'"
According to Fox News, The Georgia Office of Commissioner of Insurance and Safety Fire is investigating the water slide.
A spokesperson said findings from the investigation would probably be released in a few days.
