Nguyen Ngoc Manh, a delivery man in Vietnam, was sitting his truck getting ready to deliver a package at a high-rise building. Just as he was about to make his delivery, Nguyen heard a sound coming from above — a toddler was crying, and a woman was screaming.
Nguyen, 31, figured it was just a mother trying to deal with her fussy baby.
Then the delivery driver saw a big commotion as frantic passersby congregated on the street.
When Nguyen looked up at the building, he couldn't believe his eyes.
A 3-year-old girl was hanging 164 feet in the air from a 12th-floor balcony.
Without hesitation, Nguyen jumped out of his truck, scaled a 6-foot wall, and situated himself where he thought she would eventually fall.
In seconds, the toddler dropped from the railing and began falling to the ground — just as Nguyen slipped, too — but he was somehow able to lunge forward and miraculously catch her. "Please, please, I’m here now,'" he told her.
Thanks to this incredible man, the little girl is alive today.
