Kelly Clarkson Hints Which Celebs Were Rude To Her After She Won ‘American Idol’

Even though singer and talk show host Kelly Clarkson is pretty much thought of as America’s sweetheart nowadays, it doesn’t mean that she hasn’t come up against some of Hollywood’s most sharp-tongued critics.

In this video posted by Entertainment Tonight, Kelly hints at some of the stars she met during her early career days on American Idol who were not kind to her.

ET shows footage from a visit Kelly paid to Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen, and how during a game of “Plead The Fifth,” Andy tried to coerce Kelly into name-dropping a few of those celebrities who were not so nice to her back in the day.

“I will say that a lot of them ended up on shows like the one I’m from,” Kelly divulged with a laugh.

Which show was the Grammy award-winning singer referring to though? Sure, she came from American Idol and has also been a judge on recent seasons of The Voice. But, let’s not forget there are also shows like America’s Got Talent and The X Factor with celeb judges, too.

Not every celebrity was rude to Kelly, though. In a virtual interview in 2021 on her talk show with 9-1-1 star Jennifer Love Hewitt, Kelly divulged that even though some stars were rude to a lot of the contestants on the first season of American Idol, Jennifer was not one of them.

Kelly even went as far as thanking Jennifer for showing her such kindness on an award show red carpet when she gave her some great advice when getting started in her career.
