Mary Ann West worked in a maternity ward and assisted in the delivery of many babies. But one baby girl born more than 20 years ago has made an appearance back into her life.
Kelsey Poll and Tyler West met when Kelsey was working as a bank teller. When Tyler walked into the bank, there was an instant connection between the two. After dating for a while, Tyler made the big move and proposed to her.
As the couple prepared for the wedding festivities, they were looking through old family photo albums and came across Kelsey’s baby book. To their surprise, they found a picture of Mary Ann West, Tyler’s mom, taking Kelsey’s footprints in the hospital.
Kelsey’s mom, Stacy, gave birth at HCA Healthcare’s Lakeview Hospital in Bountiful, Utah. She remembers Nurse Mary Ann calming her down. She claims that she took pictures of Mary Ann because she stood by her side because she was so nervous.

There is even a home video of Mary Ann holding Kelsey up next to Stacy and then handing Kelsey to her. Mary Ann stated, “22 years ago, I put that sweet baby girl in Stacy’s arms, and now we both get to hold her the rest of our lives.”
As Mary Ann welcomed Kelsey into her family, their shared history became a cherished story. The union of Tyler and the baby girl Mary Ann had once helped deliver embodies the serendipitous beauty of life’s journey, proving that love, fate, and family can intertwine in the most extraordinary ways.
