Despite calling it quits after 11 years of marriage, Natalie Portman and Benjamin Millepied seem committed to co-parenting. The recently estranged couple were spotted together at the 2023 FIFA Women’s World Cup final on August 20, 2023.
They sat on both sides of their 12-year-old son, Aleph, while watching England's Lionesses play Spain's La Rojas at Stadium Australia in Sydney. This reunion comes not long after Benjamin's alleged affair, which many deem as the cause of the end of their marriage.
Photos of the former couple with their son were obtained by the Daily Mail. Natalie was seen in a white shirt with a tan coat, while Benjamin was wearing a dark-colored jacket.
The French dancer and choreographer had been caught having an affair with 25-year-old climate activist Camille Étienne, according to sources. The insider also added that the couple had separated briefly in 2022, but were trying to work through some marital struggles.

“They have not split and are trying to work things out,” the source said at the time. “Ben is doing everything he can to get Natalie to forgive him. He loves her and their family.”
In early August 2023, the couple reportedly separated.
Natalie and Benjamin share two kids: 6-year-old daughter Amalia, and 12-year-old son Aleph. Natalie's prime focus when news of the affair became public, the source says, was protecting her kids.
The former couple met in 2009 on set of Natalie's film, Black Swan. In a 2018 interview, she shared that she didn't have an instant connection with Benjamin. “It was, like, I really got to know him and then that is when it seemed, ‘Oh, right, this is the person,’” she said at the time.
By the time the movie was finished filming, they were dating. A year later, they were engaged and expecting their first child. They welcomed Aleph in 2011.
In 2012, they had an intimate wedding ceremony in California. Their daughter was born in 2017.
Natalie was seen in Sydney on their 11th anniversary without her wedding ring. “After news of his affair came out, they’ve been trying to work on their marriage," an insider explained, "but are currently on the outs.”
