Louise and her fiancé, Jake, walked out the front door of their home in Nashville, Tennessee. It was a seemingly peaceful Saturday morning, and the couple planned on going to the gym for their weekend workout.
Meanwhile, the winter weather has been sweeping its way across the country, causing frigid and frozen temperatures in even the unlikeliest of places. Texas, for example, is seeing some of the coldest temperatures in three decades.
Nashville has also been hit hard by the abnormally cold weather — and Louise and Jake didn't take into account the slippery ice that coated the concrete steps in front of their home.
Their Nest camera captured the moment Louise slipped on the steps and went sliding all the way down — and just as Jake went to try to save her from falling, he ended up suffering the same fate.
Louise and Jake never made it to the gym in the end. The nasty falls left them bruised up and sore from their heads down to their feet … but they say they were both laughing and in pretty good spirits, considering.
The Nest cam video of the double slip mishap went viral on social media.
"Careful out there Nashville!" Louise warned her neighbors. "This ice is no joke … Jake Hochstetler and I had to learn the hard way this morning."
See the slip in the video clip, and be careful out there.
