It's not every day that you see multiple sets of twins in the same room, but it will be for teachers and students in a Pennsylvania school district. This school year, Colonial School District will welcome 17 sets of twins to kindergarten. The twins will not all be attending the same school, but seven pairs of twins will attend one of the schools in the district, six pairs will attend another school, and four more pairs will attend a different elementary school in the district.
The school district calls the 17 sets of twins "twin-kindergarteners." The twins spoke positively of going to school with their siblings, with one twin saying, "I get to hug my brother any time I want."
Another one said, "we always have each other," according to NBC Philadelphia.
The 17 sets of twins will all start school on Monday, September 11. According to People, this situation might seem extreme, but it's not completely unheard of. The outlet reported that just a month ago, a school in Inverclyde, Scotland, also had 17 sets of twins start primary school at the same time. The area has been nicknamed "Twinverclyde" due to the large number of twins in the area, according to The Guardian.

The Guardian reported that “Twinverclyde" has seen 147 sets of twins in school since 2013.
