Utah Mom Accused Of Poisoning Husband Told Her Mom To Say Her Husband Got Drugs In Mexico

Utah mom Kouri Richins is currently in jail as she awaits her trial date for allegedly killing her husband Eric Richins with a fentanyl-laced drink. Kouri Richins allegedly killed Eric Richins last year.

Authorities have now found a handwritten letter, ostensibly from Kouri Richins, that includes instructions for what her family should say when asked about her husband's death.

The letter instructs her mother to tell police that Eric Richins got the drugs he died from in Mexico.

Authorities were in the jail cell after Kouri Richins suffered a seizure while locked up.

Kouri Richins had reportedly been given the wrong medication before the seizure, something that has happened at least five other times since she's been in jail.

In the letter, Kouri Richins told her mother to tell her brother that, "Eric told [redacted name] that he got Pain Pills and fentanyl from Mexico from workers on the ranch."

The letter continued, "[Redacted name] can reword [the narrative] however he needs to, but is super short not a lot to it."

She also wrote of a man called Lotto, "Tell him do not text me anything about us doing things together ever! Like church, skiing, trips! Nothing that puts us together, it doesn’t look good."
