President Joe Biden's dog, Commander Biden, bit yet another Secret Service agent on Monday September, 25 on the White House grounds. Commander is a 2-year-old German shepherd, and this is known to be his 11th biting incident.
“Yesterday around 8 p.m., a Secret Service Uniformed Division police officer came in contact with a First Family pet and was bitten," USSS Chief of Communications Anthony Guglielmi detailed in a released statement to CNN. "The officer was treated by medical personnel on complex."
Commander's previous biting incidents have taken place at the White House and in Delaware. In November 2022, an officer was hospitalized after the dog bit down on their arms and thighs.
According to White House officials, the Bidens are taking Commander through new training and leashing protocols. "The First Family continues to work on ways to help Commander handle the often unpredictable nature of the White House grounds," shared Elizabeth Alexander, communications director for the first lady, in a statement.

“The President and First Lady are incredibly grateful to the Secret Service and Executive Residence staff for all they do to keep them, their family, and the country safe,” she continued. The First Family got Commander in December 2021. They previously had a dog named Major who, after a couple biting incidents, was sent to live with a family friend in Delaware.
