When A Cashier Asks Mom-In-Need For A Photo, Mom Realizes Something Else Is Going On

Emma was a motivated young woman who had a lot going on in her life. She was a student working her way through art school as a cashier, but she was very motivated to complete her degree.

Even though she never really saw herself in a customer service role, she grew to really love her job at the supermarket because it allowed her to connect and speak with people from all walks of life.

Most of Emma’s work days began in the afternoon and ended in the late evening, but she always made sure to report to the store in good time in order to get herself ready to head out to the floor. But it was one day in particular at the store where things didn’t go according to plan.

It was during an odd week when things started to fall into place. A lot of Emma’s classes were canceled, so she asked her manager if she could pick up a few extra shifts at work in order to make some extra cash.

While she was working one of the added day shifts, a mother stepped up to Emma’s cash desk dragging a grocery cart behind her with her son close by. The woman appeared fatigued but still friendly.

To make conversation, Emma asked the woman if she was having a long day. The woman sighed and told her that her son had insisted on having lasagna for lunch and even though he has an ill brother at home, she wanted to give him what he wanted.
