Dad On TikTok Boasts About Not ‘Helping’ Wife With Cooking, Chores, Or Taking Care Of Kids

One dad's rant on TikTok has blown up and gone majorly viral. J.R. Minton has been married to his wife, Brittany, for four years. They have four kids together. In a recent video, the husband and father racked up over 6 million views where he discussed why he doesn't "help" his wife cook, clean, do laundry, or take care of the kids. Wait … what?!

Sounds absolutely ridiculous, right? But, it's actually not what many might think it to be based off of reading the title. You have to watch the video to actually understand where he's coming from.

J.R. starts the video stating that he does not help his wife do any of the things, such as chore or tending to their children. "Because I do what I am supposed to do as a father and a husband," he stated. "I cook. I clean. I do the laundry. I take care of the kids. I can't help my wife do those things because they are my job, too. Change the way you speak, change the way you think, and grow the [expletive] up and be a man."

He made the video after witnessing how his wife was belittled for being a stay-at-home mom. "I’ve seen her role in the family consistently be undervalued — by friends, family, generally everyone. She is constantly made to feel that she isn’t doing enough, while also made to feel that she should just be eternally grateful to me as the 'provider.' It’s completely backward," he stated.
