When Miles Scott was 5 years old, he battled leukemia. When he went into remission, he fought bad guys such as The Riddler and The Penguin, saving San Francisco from crime as Batkid with some help from the Make-A-Wish Foundation. The world fell in love with him.
Ten years later, Make-A-Wish gave an update on the tiny crime fighter who is now a teenager. He is still in remission and a sophomore in high school. These days, he enjoys playing football and baseball. He looks back fondly on his big adventure day.
"I'm doing amazing. I would love to just say, I'm fine," he stated. "I feel normal, but every time I think about it, it's like, 'Wow, that actually happened,'" he said about his wish.
Since Miles’ wish was granted, his mom Natalie Scott decided to volunteer with the organization as a wish granter for Make-A-Wish Greater Bay Area. She loves helping others experience that same joy that her family did.
"For Miles' wish, I feel like it was the ending of a chapter in our family, so that we could move on and continue," she said. "I just wanted to be able to help other kids and their families have some sort of positive ending to their story or to start their new beginning."

These days, Miles cannot even fit into his custom Batman costume. He is more into his catcher’s uniform anyways. His little brother used it this year for Halloween so it is not going to waste.
