Jennifer Aniston Admits ‘Nobody’ Knows She Went Through IVF To Try To Conceive A Baby

Jennifer Aniston once opened up and shared about how she underwent an IVF journey in private to try to get pregnant. Just last year, in 2022, the now-54-year-old had a candid interview with Allure about trying to conceive amid public speculation over whether or not she was pregnant.

She wasn't able to conceive during her journey, but the Murder Mystery actress shared that she had no regrets about her efforts in trying. “I would say my late 30s, 40s, I’d gone through really hard [expletive], and if it wasn’t for going through that, I would’ve never become who I was meant to be,” she said.

“That’s why I have such gratitude for all those [expletive] things. Otherwise, I would’ve been stuck being this person that was so fearful, so nervous, so unsure of who they were," she continued. "And now, I don’t [expletive] care. I was trying to get pregnant. It was a challenging road for me, the baby-making road.”

"I had no idea," Editor Danielle Pergament, who interviewed Jennifer, shockingly responded. “Yeah, nobody does,” the actress replied. “All the years and years and years of speculation … It was really hard."

"I was going through IVF, drinking Chinese teas, you name it," she continued. "I was throwing everything at it. I would’ve given anything if someone had said to me, ‘Freeze your eggs. Do yourself a favor.’ You just don’t think it. So here I am today. The ship has sailed.”

“I have zero regrets,” Jennifer said. “I actually feel a little relief now because there is no more, ‘Can I? Maybe. Maybe. Maybe.’ I don’t have to think about that anymore.”

Jennifer then opened up about how speculation that she was selfish were also hurtful. “I just cared about my career,” she explained. “And God forbid a woman is successful and doesn’t have a child."

"And the reason my husband left me, why we broke up and ended our marriage, was because I wouldn’t give him a kid," she said of her marriage to Brad Pitt. "It was absolute lies. I don’t have anything to hide at this point.”

Jennifer and Brad were married from 2000 to 2005. The two are still cordial friends.

The actress then went on to marry Justin Theroux. The two were married from 2015 to 2017.
