When you’re a parent, especially when your kids are still babies, you’re always going to worry about their safety and well-being. This is exactly why items like baby monitors come in handy to help keep a close eye on your little ones, especially when you’re not in the same room.
Nina and Chris Cardinal had worked hard to ensure that their 15-month-old daughter Chloe felt comfortable and secure during the night in her bedroom. They had purchased a top-of-the-line toddler bed and mattress, but after some time, they began to notice something strange.
Each night, Chloe seemed to make it out of her bed and by the morning, she could be found hanging out in a different part of the house. Completely perplexed, as they knew that she was too little to make it out of her room on her own, the couple decided to install a video camera in her room to check and see what was happening.
According to ABC News, the family’s golden retrievers Colby and Bleu were Chloe’s “best friends.” The trio consistently spent time playing together and “even [shared] snacks together.” What the parents ended up catching on their Nest cam was alarmingly cute.
The news outlet reports that the video footage caught the two dogs “using their noses to open the child’s bedroom door” and once they were inside the room, the pair jumped into bed with little Chloe for some playtime.

After some time, Colby and Bleu could then be seen running in and out of Chloe’s bedroom, perhaps trying to coax the 15-month-old out of her bed, which eventually worked. One of the dogs even took one of the toddler’s toys and with her bedroom door now open, she could make it out to the hallway for a little fun with her best friends.
