Little Girl Wears Grandma’s Dress To School But Mom Fires Back When She’s Forced To Change

Emily Stewart's 5-year-old daughter couldn't wait to wear a certain dress to school; it'd been given to her as a special gift by her grandmother.

In April 2019, Emily sent her daughter off to her elementary school in Minnesota wearing the dress underneath a sweater and over a pair of jeans.

As you can imagine, Emily was quite confused when her daughter returned home from school wearing a completely different outfit.

Now the little girl donned a pink T-shirt. Gone was the adorable sundress.

"Why are you wearing a T-shirt?" Emily asked her.

Her daughter was in tears by this point, just as she had been in the school nurse's office.

Apparently, she had taken off her sweater earlier in the day. When the teachers saw the dress underneath, they decided it was too risqué.

Now Emily is speaking out: "I think that when we’re talking about the body of a little girl and determining what’s appropriate and what’s not, you need to talk to the parent because that’s a violation of her privacy and her body without consulting anybody."
