Kelly Clarkson Has To Trick Her Son Into Eating Veggies And It’s Not Easy

Kids are tiny humans who have a lot of opinions. These include what they will or will not eat. It doesn’t matter who their parents are either. Kelly Clarkson, Chrissy Teigen, and David Chang commiserated about this on the Thursday, January 25, 2024, episode of The Kelly Clarkson Show.

Kelly confessed she often has to disguise vegetables so her 7-year-old son Remington Alexander will eat them. She even disclosed that her kids sometimes straight-up reject her home cooking. It is not easy.

Remington is smart. Sometimes Kelly thinks he is too smart for his own good. “I have to sneak [vegetables] in, into a cup that is colorful, that you can’t tell what the color is,” Kelly admitted. “And that’s how I sneak it in — in like a juice or a smoothie. He will not do it. He will smell it out and be like, ‘This is a vegetable.’ And he is like hard against it.”

Both Chrissy and David related to Kelly’s story. “I definitely take orders,” Chrissy stated. “At this point with Miles, I said the other day, he doesn’t eat vegetables. I mean not a carrot stick. It’s just like a big fight with him.”

David told Kelly his kids don’t always like his cooking either, which reassured her. “It makes me feel good that you are an actual chef. They are just like, ‘Hard pass, where’s the mac and cheese?’” Kelly stated.

“When I do cook, I’m like, ‘Do you know how hard this was for me? I don’t do this.’ And I feel like I did a good job and they do not eat it,” Kelly confessed.

Kelly shares two kids with ex-husband Brandon Blackstock, Remington and 9-year-old daughter River Rose.
