Sahar Tabar idolizes actress Angelina Jolie so much, she allegedly underwent 50 plastic surgery procedures to look like the Tomb Raider star — and, in the process, turned herself into a "zombie."
The fascinating Jolie wannabe from Tehran, Iran, is an elusive social media star who's garnered a lot of attention for her appearance, which many of her Instagram followers have deemed corpse-like: Her cheeks are sunken, her figure is gaunt and angular, and her eyes are an eerie blue-grey hue. What's more, her skin and makeup often appear grubby in her selfies, making her look as though she's begun to decay.
Sahar's bizarre appearance has attracted not only 265,000 Instagram followers (and counting) but also a fair amount of controversy: In 2018, a Reddit thread accused her of faking her viral pictures using photo-editing software, some pretty impressive makeup skills, and/or prosthetics.

So what's the truth? Does Sahar actually look like Angelina Jolie's cadaver, or are her photos the work of a Photoshop-savvy mastermind? Let's shed some light on this situation…
According to the British newspaper the Sun, Sahar once said she "would do anything" to be just like Angelina.
Besides allegedly undergoing the aforementioned surgeries, Sahar reportedly maintains a weight of just under 90 pounds.
Considering Sahar stands at about 4'9, she's likely dangerously underweight.
Sahar's photos receive a lot of comments on Instagram, many of them mean-spirited.
"Her: Doc make me look like an 8 month old corpse. Doc: Say no more," one person commented.
People started getting suspicious about Sahar's looks after someone posted this photo on Reddit.
Some parts of the image are obviously warped, leading people to believe that Sahar was faking her corpse-y appearance.
"I do believe she got plastic surgery, but it's more or less makeup and extremely exaggerating her features that she got done," the photo's original poster wrote in its thread. "I've yet to figure out why other than just internet attention and fame. "
"She is IN LOVE WITH THE LIQUIFY TOOL," another person chimed in, referring to a filter on Photoshop. "I am a graphic designer, I would know."
Amid the backlash, Sahar finally came clean in an interview with the Russian news outlet Sputnik last December: "This is Photoshop and makeup," she admitted.
"Every time I publish a photo, I paint my face in an increasingly funny way," she said. "It is a way of expressing yourself, a kind of art. My fans know that this is not my real face." (Do they, though?)
She also confessed to undergoing three plastic surgery procedures.
"I had a nose, enlarged mouth and liposuction," she explained. "I see nothing wrong with the operations: many people in the world undergo this kind of treatment."
For what it's worth, this is what Sahar (supposedly) looks like in real life.
Sahar told Sputnik that she doesn't pay much attention to what people say about her online.
"For me the most important thing in life is the approval of my family and God," she said. "This approval is, that's enough for me."
"The opinion of other people does not bother me at all," she continued. "I release negative opinions."
You do you, Sahar!
