The suspicious Kate Middleton news continues. Now, the hospital where she had surgery is reportedly investigating allegations that staff tried to access the Princess of Wales' private medical records. Kate was a patient at the London Clinic in January, and someone working at the clinic allegedly tried to read the 42-year-old’s notes, British newspaper Independent reported.
The news of the potential security breach comes at a time when lots of people are curious about what's going on with Kate Middleton.
Kate hasn't appeared in public since December. On January 17, Kensington Palace announced that Kate was hospitalized for an abdominal surgery. Details about the surgery were not provided, but Bazaar.com reported that she was not being treated for a cancerous condition.
When Kensington Palace announced Kate's surgery to the public, the news release also stated that "based on the current medical advice, she is unlikely to return to public duties until after Easter."
That did not stop people from coming up with Kate-related conspiracy theories, which were only made worse by a photo released on UK Mother's Day of Kate and her kids that was later revealed to be altered.

The London Clinic, where Kate had her surgery, is known for treating members of the royal family and other high-profile patients. A source told the Daily Mirror that "this is a major security breach and incredibly damaging for the hospital, given its unblemished reputation for treating members of the Royal Family."
When contacted by outlets such as People and the Daily Mail, a Kensington Palace spokesperson responded with: “This is a matter for The London Clinic."
"Senior hospital bosses contacted Kensington Palace immediately after the incident was brought to their attention and assured the palace there would be a full investigation," a source told the Daily Mirror.
The source added that staff members at the London Clinic were "utterly shocked and distraught over the allegations."
The Daily Mirror reported that The London Clinic wouldn't comment on the allegations. In a statement, the clinic wrote: "We firmly believe that all our patients, no matter their status, deserve total privacy and confidentiality regarding their medical information.”
Al Russell, chief executive of the London Clinic, also released a statement, shared by BBC, but did not address the Kate Middleton allegations specifically.
"We take enormous pride in the outstanding care and discretion we aim to deliver for all our patients that put their trust in us every day," he said in the statement.
"We have systems in place to monitor management of patient information and, in the case of any breach, all appropriate investigatory, regulatory and disciplinary steps will be taken," he continued.
According to the Daily Mirror, the Information Commissioner’s Office confirmed that "we have received a breach report and are assessing the information provided.”
