Mom Dies & Her Children Write Obituary Saying ‘The World Is A Better Place Without Her’

Kathleen Dehmlow of Minnesota passed away on March 31, 2018. She was 80 years old. Her obituary was published in the Redwood Falls Gazette. But because of its startling content, it's now being shared by people all over the world.

The obituary starts off like most others do. For example, it states her birth date: March 19, 1938. Her city of birth: Springfield, Minnesota. And the names of her parents: Gertrude and Joseph.

Standard enough, right?

But that's where the typical sentiment ends — because Kathleen's obituary becomes much, much darker after that.

One sad sentence hints at the reason behind her family's anger and resentment: "She abandoned her children, Gina and Jay, who were then raised by her parents in Clements, Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Schunk."
