Sally Jessy Raphael Sent Out-Of-Control Teen To Bootcamp. 21 Years Later, He Surprises Her

In 2019, Sally Jessy Raphael appeared on The Rachael Ray Show to talk about her daytime talk show, which aired from 1983 to 2002. Sally mentioned a former guest whom she referred to as "the most memorable boot camp cadet we ever had."

In 1998, Anthony appeared on Sally alongside his desperate mother. At the time, Anthony was an out-of-control and unapologetic teenager who had already been charged with various crimes, like assault and robbery. His mother — who had to kick him out of her house — broke down in tears in front of the studio audience while Anthony expressed little to no remorse about his bad behavior.

Sally sent Anthony to a strict boot camp program, hoping it would help break him from his bad habits and poor attitude. But it didn't work. Anthony returned home and went back to his old ways.

After his boot camp stint, the beloved talk show host invited Anthony back for a second time. Now with a baby daughter to support, he finally admitted he was in desperate need of help.

As you're about to see, a lot has changed for Anthony since then.

Twenty-one years after Anthony made his first appearance on Sally's show, Rachael Ray and her producers secretly tracked him  down.

Sally had no idea what she was in for when he walked onstage behind her.
